SGS has certified the subsidiaries of Pladis Global in Saudi Arabia for ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018, marking their first certification against these standards.
Pladis is a British confectionery and snack foods company encompassing some of the world’s beloved brands including McVitie's, Godiva Chocolates, United Biscuits and more.
The two plants of Pladis Global located in Jeddah (Food Manufacturing Company) and Riyadh (International Biscuits Company) were certified by SGS for environmental management standard ISO 14001 and occupational health and safety standard ISO 45001 under SAS accreditation (Switzerland).

The certification scope includes manufacture of biscuits, corn-based snacks, maamoul, popcorn, potato chips, wafers and chocolates.
ISO 14001 is an internationally recognized standard which sets out best practice guidelines for companies looking to reduce their environmental impact. It helps organizations increase efficiency while cutting waste and reducing environmental risks associated with their activities.
ISO 45001 stands for the benchmark for managing occupational health & safety risks in an organization, enabling companies to systematically work on mitigating those risks and ensure a safe and healthy workplace.
We are proud to have been chosen to support Pladis Global with these certifications which demonstrate their commitment to sustainability.
