Monitor the sustainability of your farming operations with trusted impact assessments.
Farm sustainability is now a major concern for regulators and consumers. To demonstrate improvements in sustainability, you need an effective way to monitor your farm’s climate impact, carbon footprint, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, water usage, social impacts and much more.
Comprehensive farm sustainability
Devised by the Sustainable Agriculture Initiative (SAI), the Farm Sustainability Assessment (FSA) program is used for self-assessment and third-party verification. It demonstrates sustainability in farming and is based on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP).
It follows the three pillars of sustainability:
- People
- Planet
- Profit
The FSA program is customizable and can be used for all agricultural crops cultivated across the globe. It supports companies operating along the full length of food and drink supply chains, enabling them to work towards sustainability in production. Subject to their assessment outcome, they are able to claim, partly or entirely, their products to be SAI Bronze, SAI Silver or SAI Gold.
Benefits:
- Supports and improves product sustainability along the supply chain
- Improves long term economic prospects
- Ensures compliance with client requirements on social and environmental criteria
