About the speaker

Akbar Faheem, Business Lead – Lifting Services at SGS Pakistan

Mr. Faheem holds Master’s degree in Petroleum Technology and has wide understanding on different areas of operations both onshore & offshore.He has more than 18 years of extensive experience as OCTG, and LEEA Certified inspector, and has led multiple projects in Oil & Gas sector in Azerbaijan (Baku) and Pakistan. He has experience in Rig inspection and performed various jobs in Caspian Sea as well.

Akbar has also designed lifting slings for CCU and is expert in Lifting equipment, Rig inspections, DROPS, Tubular, Anchor chains & mooring equipment. He also is experienced in supervising ROPE ACCESS and non-destructive testing jobs as per API and DS1 standards in many offshore projects.
