Why should businesses seek ISO/IEC 27001 certification?
In the digital age, organizations must meet high standards for information security to safeguard their sensitive data, build consumer and stakeholder trust, and avoid reputational damage and potential fines or litigation.
Businesses in Australia are also obliged to comply with certain laws and regulations to protect information, including the Privacy Act 1988, the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) Prudential Standard CPS 234 for information security, and specific sector regulations.
Implementing and maintaining an ISO/IEC 27001 ISMS is the best way to ensure that your business complies with these requirements and is prepared for evolving cyber threats.
