SGS Bangladesh Limited is a wholly owned affiliate of SGS SA, Geneva. Starting operation in Bangladesh since 1974, presently the company operates from offices in Dhaka (Karwan Bazar & Gulshan), Chittagong and Khulna. At present our total number of employees is 700+ in Bangladesh. We provide a wide range of consumer and retail services to the Ready-Made Garments (RMG) and Knitwear industries, Leather & Footwear industries and Ceramic Industries by way of laboratory testing, quality assurance, quality control and social accountability & environmental auditing to ensure full compliance with Quality, Quantity, Social and Environmental requirements. We also offer systems and services certification, and services for agricultural, government and institutions, oil, gas and chemicals, mineral, industrial and environmental projects.

SGS Bangladesh is an ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 certified company for its independent testing, inspection and certification services covering consumer products, supply chain assessment and customer specified technical auditing services. Our Inspection services for Textile & Textile products, Agricultural products and Environmental inspection services is accredited to ISO/IEC 17020:2012 standards as type A Inspection Body (IB) by National Accreditation Board for Certification Bodies (NABCB), India.

We have two laboratories for Consumer and Retail Services- one is in Dhaka and the other is in Chattogram. Laboratory services in Dhaka includes general textile testing and Restricted Substances Testing Services (RSTS) mainly for export to the EU, USA, Japan, Australia and other foreign markets, food and agriculture product testing, water and wastewater testing. Laboratory services in Chattogram includes general textile testing and Restricted Substances Testing Services (RSTS) mainly for export to the EU, USA, Japan, Australia, and other foreign markets. Apart from these two Softline & Hardline testing laboratories we have a Calibration laboratory in Dhaka that provides calibration services of different equipment and devices in the industry. All three laboratories are accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards by Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB). Our Chattogram laboratory is also certified on ISO 14001:2015 standards for Environment Management System.
