SGS Unveils Advanced Oil, Gas and Chemicals Laboratory in Barcelona, Spain

We are excited to announce the launch of a brand new oil, gas and chemicals (OGC) laboratory in the vibrant city of Barcelona, Spain.

Strategically located

The new lab is located five minutes from local port terminals, providing unmatched accessibility, and enabling us to provide our clients with efficient and seamless services. Replacing an older lab that was launched back in 1999, this new OGC lab boasts a 1,800 square meter laboratory and office space to accommodate a wide range of testing and analysis services.

The spacious facility has achieved ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, demonstrating its high-quality and expertly conducted analytical capabilities.

Our advanced testing capabilities

Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including spectrophotometers, flame ionization detectors, a refractometer and a viscosimeter, our laboratory allows us to carry out advanced analytical solutions for various OGC substances including:

Glycols
Ethers
Ketones
Diesel
Fatty acid methyl esters (FAME)
Gasoline and naphtha
Used and base oil
Aviation fuels, including hydrogen fluid and jet fuels
