On 13 – 16 November 2023, SGS attended the 18th Middle East Corrosion Conference and Exhibition (MECC) at the Gulf International Convention Center, Gulf Hotel, Kingdom of Bahrain. This exhibition was organized by the AMPP Dhahran Saudi Arabia Chapter and the Bahrain Society of Engineers.
Supported by the Bahraini Ministry of Oil and Environment, this exhibition focused on the 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR) to reduce and mitigate corrosion with the power of technology. Focusing on digital solutions and workshops provided professionals and various industries with data analytics that can detect and prevent many possibilities of corrosion.
The conference provided ample opportunity for SGS to connect with stakeholders and to discuss cutting-edge solutions that tackle the causes for metallic and nonmetallic articles. Industries affected by corrosion include oil and gas, petrochemicals, buildings, infrastructure and more.
