Join our webinar where our panel of information security experts will discuss the challenges and opportunities the ever-changing personally identifiable information (PII) landscape presents.
From international laws, like GDPR, to local and regional regulations, data privacy laws are constantly evolving. In the United States, 36 states have either pending legislation on data protection or have already signed laws, including CCPA/CPRA, VCDPA, CPA, etc. Apart from federal intervention, there will soon be 50 versions of privacy regulations that organizations must follow.
While the overall intent is the same, to protect the unauthorized dissemination of personally identifiable information (PII), there are nuances to each provision, and each requires (or will require) compliance.
Identifying and implementing an overarching privacy program requires structure and is greatly enhanced by working through a proven framework. ISO/IEC 27701 provides the controls that directly address the processing and managing of PII. Naturally, to protect PII, an organization must first put in place effective information security governance.
Join our experts as they discuss the challenges and opportunities the ever-changing PII landscape presents.
