SGS is pleased to publish its comprehensive Net-Zero Transition Plan, showcasing its strong commitment to climate action.
SGS is committed to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. As part of this objective, the company targets a reduction of 46% in absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions and of 28% in absolute Scope 3 emissions by 2030, compared to its 2019 base line.*
Corporate Sustainability forms an integral part of SGS’ Strategy 27. Beyond the environmental leadership illustrated by its Net-Zero Transition Plan, the company also set itself ambitious targets on the social and governance dimensions of ESG.
By 2027, it will boost Diversity, Equity and Inclusion with at least one third of leadership positions held by women. It will increase its position as an education leader by providing 7 million hours of training per year to employees, clients and communities. And it will enhance its leadership on business conduct by strengthening its customer satisfaction score from 90% to 93%.
With these actions, SGS continues to demonstrate its leadership in Corporate Sustainability and responsible business.
