SGS Leads the Professional Services Sector in Dow Jones Sustainability Indices

SGS has reaffirmed its leadership in sustainability by being included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) World and Europe for the 11th year in a row. This was a consequence of ranking first in the Professional Services Industry category of the 2024 S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), with an impressive score of 85 out of 100*.

Driving impact through key strategic actions

This achievement reflects SGS’s dedication to sustainability through strategic advancements. SGS was the first testing, inspection and certification (TIC) company to publish a double materiality assessment in alignment with Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) requirements, showing its dedication to transparency and accountability.

Improving on its already strong rankings of previous years, SGS made significant improvements this year in Cybersecurity Governance, enhancing data protection, while human capital efforts prioritized employee development and wellbeing. Additionally, SGS advanced in customer satisfaction, ensuring that its sustainability practices continue to support and enrich the client experience.

The DJSI is a benchmark for corporate sustainability, recognizing companies that excel in long-term economic, environmental and social practices. In particular, the DJS World Index showcases the top 10% of the largest 2,500 companies in the S&P Global Broad Market Index.
