Fraudulent Job Offers: Warning

SGS has become aware of fake employment offers that have been made in the name of SGS via non-SGS websites, emails imitating SGS email addresses and other communication platforms, such as Google Hangout.

Many of these schemes consist of an offer of employment, or a contract with SGS, along with the use of counterfeit checks. These schemes often request upfront payment for training, tools or travel, as well as banking information. Use of the SGS name and logo in these schemes is unauthorized and illegal.

SGS does not charge a fee at any stage of the recruitment process. Any requests of payment or banking information should raise a red flag and be reported to the authorities for appropriate action. Please also inform our in-house Corporate Security Department.

Fraudulent schemes may use the following approaches to appear legitimate:

  • Correspondence falsely signed in the name of real SGS employees, or people purporting to be an employee of SGS
  • Documents and websites may contain official-looking SGS letterhead, including the company logo or name
  • Correspondence including email or web site addresses, including the words "SGS" or a similar name, or the URL of a real or fictitious SGS website

Should you have any concerns about the authenticity of a job offer said to be issued by SGS, please submit a copy of the offer to the SGS Corporate Security Department. We will advise if the offer is legitimate, and in cases where the offer is not, we will investigate and take action as required.

Please note: we are unable to verify vacancies for Software Galaxy Systems LLC (SGS Consulting). They are not associated with the SGS Group. They can be contacted directly at emp_verification@sgsconsulting.com.
