Central Circle Co., based in Kuwait, has successfully achieved recertification by SGS against the World Health Organization's (WHO) Good Distribution Practices (GDP) standard.
Central Circle Co. has been first certified by SGS against WHO GDP in 2021. The recent recertification demonstrates Central Circle's ongoing commitment to ensuring the safe storage and distribution of pharmaceutical products and medical devices, as well as safe provision of maintenance services for medical devices.
By adhering to the stringent requirements described in WHO GDP standard, Central Circle ensures that patients receive genuine products that meet all quality standards.
Focus on transformation and growth
Since its foundation in 1979, Central Circle Company business offering is to provide medical equipment and turnkey healthcare solutions to clients in Kuwait. Central Circle Company has since progressed rapidly with an acquisition of the company in 2014 that has witnessed major transformation and growth both in terms of customers, employees and revenue.
In 2019, the decision was made to implement international standards at Central Circle Co. and pursue certification to demonstrate company’s commitment to excellence, enhance process quality, build customer trust, and stay competitive in the local market.
The implementation took 2 years and resulted in successful first certification in February 2021 against WHO GDP.
Three years later, in early 2024, Central Circle Co. went through recertification process to prove their compliance with international requirements and further improve their management system.
Undergoing recently a comprehensive audit by SGS experts, Central Circle Co. demonstrated its adherence to WHO GDP standards across all aspects of its operations. The audit covered areas such as warehouse management, transportation practices, temperature control measures, documentation processes, and personnel training.
Apart from WHO GDP, Central Circle has also implemented and had certified their Quality Management System as per ISO 9001:2015. They hold ISO 9001 certification by SGS since 2022.
The SGS audit provided valuable insights, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement. This led to enhanced efficiency, a stronger commitment to quality, and increased customer confidence. The audit catalyzed continuous improvement, elevating our performance standards to align with global best practices.
