Course aim
The APQP4Wind Management Awareness training course aims to give participants a basic understanding of the management role in the APQP4Wind process and introduce the framework, requirements and tools. In addition, the course will help participants reflect on how APQP4Wind can be successfully implemented and thereby mitigate risk and improve value creation.
Learning objectives
Upon completion of this course, learners will have gained an understanding of:
- The APQP4Wind processes, framework and requirements (e.g. reason and need behind a requirement: MSA and FMEA, etc.)
- The interfaces between APQP4Wind requirements and internal management systems, management decisions, management of projects, resources, and business cases
- Why APQP4Wind is justified by the status and megatrends for power generation
- The framework of the rationales behind risk mitigation and value creation

Audience
This course is designed for general managers, managers, sales managers, quality managers and key account managers working in companies that are suppliers to the wind industry.
Prior knowledge
There are no mandatory requirements to attend the management training. However, it is recommended that the participants have management experience.
Course certification
This course is certificated by APQP4Wind. On completion of this course:
- Participants must complete and pass the APQP4Wind Management Awareness examination. Successful participants will receive a certificate approved by the APQP4Wind Secretariat. The certificate is valid for four years from the exam date
- Learners who do not pass the exam but attend the full course can resit the examination twice within 12 months of the end date of the first examination
