Considered a ‘miracle material’, asbestos was widely used in the UK until the 1990s and there is still a huge legacy left behind by its mass production and installation. Disturbing asbestos can be potentially fatal, so training in asbestos awareness is vital for you and your employees.

The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 requires that anyone who may be accidentally exposed to asbestos through the course of their work, for example through disturbance of the fabric of a building, must attain Category A Asbestos Awareness Training.

Anyone expected to carry out minor asbestos works involving only low-risk asbestos materials not requiring a licence, must attain Category B Asbestos Awareness with Practical Training.
