Climate change stands as the most significant challenge of our time and, while we are not a carbon-intensive company, we have nevertheless committed to significantly reducing our emissions by 2030 and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
Our Net-Zero Transition Plan outlines a roadmap to reduce our emissions through various decarbonization levers and initiatives that cover our entire value chain. It goes beyond meeting our near-term 2030 science-based targets, also charting a course to secure the necessary effort, investment and collaboration to achieve at least a 90% reduction across our entire value chain by 2050, commitment validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
The plan is deeply integrated into our business strategy and finances and is fully aligned with our global sustainability strategy, the Sustainability Ambitions 2030 (SA30). The SA30 includes ambitious climate targets for 2030 and beyond, raising the bar on sustainability standards internally and enabling a tangible and long-lasting positive impact on society.
