The Georgian subsidiary of SGS S.A “SGS Georgia” Ltd. celebrates its 20th anniversary since establishment in December 1997. Back then, company began its operations in Georgia covering two business lines – “Oil, Gas and Chemicals” and “Agriculture, Food and Life”, employing no more than 30 people.
Throughout these 20 years SGS Georgia has shown steady growth expanding both in size and scope. Today SGS Georgia is the employer of 105 professionals working across several business lines including: “Oil, Gas and Chemicals”, “Agriculture, Food and Life”, “Minerals”, “Industrial”, “Environment, Health and Safety”, ‘Certification and Business Enhancement”, “Transportation” and is positioned for further growth looking beyond customers’ and society’s expectations to deliver market leading services. There have been quite a number of notable achievements including certification of company against ISO 9001:2015, certification of Oil, Gas and Chemicals laboratories against ISO 17025, attraction of local clientele. Loyalty of employees towards SGS is demonstrated through long-term employment as SGS celebrated its 20th anniversary with all the first-comers working deliberately and with devotion through all these years.
