SGS’s Klaipeda Laboratory Receives ISO/IEC 17025 Accreditation

We are pleased to announce that our fertilizer laboratory in Klaipeda, Lithuania, has received ISO/IEC 17025 (LST EN ISO/IEC 17025: 2018) accreditation.

What does the ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation cover?

By gaining ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, the Klaipeda laboratory can now test a range of inorganic fertilizers using the titrimetric, gravimetric and sieving testing methods:

Titrimetric method

  • Ammoniacal nitrogen content
  • Nitrate and ammoniacal nitrogen content according to Devarda

Gravimetric method

  • Content of phosphorus soluble in mineral acids
  • Water-soluble potassium content
  • Sieve test
  • Moisture content

Sieving method

  • Sieve test

SGS’s Klaipeda Laboratory

Our 150m2 Klaipeda laboratory provides fertilizer, salt and wood pellets testing services (including heavy metals testing). By obtaining LST EN ISO/IEC 17025: 2018 accreditation, the laboratory now operates in accordance with EU Regulation 2019/1009 and the National Fertilizer Law.
