The number of unsafe product notifications dropped in both the USA and the EU in the first quarter of 2021, compared to the last quarter of 2020.
In the USA, unsafe product notifications decreased by 41% on Q4 2020. Eight products were recalled, the most common category was audio, video and household, with the main risk being fire.
In the EU, notifications also went down – by 26%. A total 75 products were notified as unsafe with IT and telecommunications products, and luminaires to the most common products affected, and main risk identified as electric shock.
