Tradeport Hong Kong Limited (Tradeport) has become the first company to be awarded EC Guidelines on Good Distribution Practice of medicinal products for human use (2013/C 343/01) certification by SGS. Tradeport was also awarded World Health Organization Good Distribution Practices (GDP) Annex 5 and Annex 7 certification. Tradeport received these two certifications after undergoing audits conducted by the independent third-party certification body, SGS in Hong Kong.
These certifications assure business partners and customers of Tradeport’s sustained commitment to the quality of its service. As it maintains its leading position as a premium regional distribution centre, Tradeport recognizes the vital role it plays in ensuring the availability of logistic services for quality medical products. Every day, their team works diligently to minimize the risk of product degradation, following GDP validated processes and procedures, to meet both GDP and customer requirements.
Kenneth Bell, CEO of Tradeport, said, “We are very proud of achieving this dual certification, as it shows our long-term commitment to our customers to deliver the best services possible in our premium facility. At the same time, we are very happy to play our part in providing internationally recognized services for pharmaceuticals and medical products at Hong Kong International Airport, the major air cargo hub in the Greater Bay Area.”
Miranda Kwan, Director of Business Assurance for SGS in Hong Kong said, “In today's complex and highly regulated pharmaceutical supply chain, it is essential for leading logistic hubs to demonstrate their adherence to the most stringent global standards. By achieving the certifications, Tradeport has shown its unwavering commitment to ensuring the integrity, quality and safety of the vital pharmaceutical and medical products entrusted to its care. This dual certification gives Tradeport's stakeholders the utmost confidence that its pharmaceuticals and medical products are being handled and stored to the international specifications.”
