Low and high frequency electromagnetic fields (EMFs) affect the human body in different ways. Symptoms of EMF exposure can include sleep disturbance, headaches, tiredness, changes in memory, depression and lack of concentration. We offer field strength measurement to help you ensure that EMF levels from your radio frequency devices are within acceptable limits.
What are NIR limits?
The health protection standards are specified in the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) guidelines. As described by the ICNIRP guidelines, the limits of Non-Ionizing Radiation (NIR) levels applicable to radio frequency devices are outlined in the table below.
Reference levels for general public exposure in the 0.15MHz – 300 GHz frequency range for time-varying electric and magnetic fields (unperturbed RMS values):

How We Test Field Strength with an Isotropic Field Probe
According to ICNIRP guidelines, the E-field power density strength should be averaged over any 6-minute period during measurement of frequencies between 1 MHz and 18 GHz.
We use a test probe located close to the RF device and around the selected location for measurement by:
- Selecting the corresponding unit and frequency band of the field probe
- Measuring the E-field strength level
- Repeating the measurement in different locations in accordance with the procedure above
- Placing the mobile phone base-station close to the apartment
- Selecting test points that are in front of the base-station (such as the windows, balcony, bedrooms, living room, etc.)
