With effect from January 1, 2016 (date of goods arrival), all regulated raw materials and products imported to Gabon must be assessed and conform to the requirements of the Agence Gabonaise de Normalisation’s (AGANOR) Conformity Assessment Program (Programme Gabonais d’Evaluation de la Conformité (PROGEC)). This means that all products destined for import to Gabon must be assessed and issued with a Certificate of Conformity.
Depending on the certification route we provide one, or a combination, of the following interventions:
- Physical inspection prior to shipment
- Sampling, testing and analysis in accredited laboratories
- Audit of product manufacturing processes
- Documentary check and assessment of conformity with the requirements of the applicable standards
Gabon’s conformity assessment program protects local consumers by ensuring that all regulated products and raw materials imported to the country meet the relevant approved standards and technical regulations.
