From construction and factory workers, to mountaineers, cyclists and kayakers, wearing a helmet reduces the risk of serious head injury or death.
Before any helmet can be placed onto the market, its design and durability must be evaluated to ensure conformity with relevant safety standards and customer performance requirements.
We provide comprehensive safety and quality assurance services to help you ensure compliance with legislation enforced in multiple global markets, including the U.S., EU, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Brazil.
Regulation (EU) 2016/425
Most helmets are classified as Category II personal protective equipment (PPE) under EU Regulation 2016/425. This requires the submission of technical documentation and product samples to a Notified Body for EU-type examination/certification before the CE Mark can be used and the helmet offered onto the market.
