This prestigious certification was awarded on June 6, 2024, at NBCC's Head Office, marking a significant achievement in the company's commitment to food safety and quality.

NBCC’s partnership with SGS reflects a long-standing commitment to excellence and quality. Since September 6, 2022, NBCC has been certified by SGS under the BRCGS standard, reinforcing their dedication to top-notch safety and quality practices. Their certification journey continued with FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, and ISO  9001 in 2021, and ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 in 2023. 

Integrating these standards allows NBCC to streamline processes, enhance safety, and improve environmental and quality management, driving overall efficiency and sustainability. Certification Scope of NBCC

NBCC’s certification scope covers a diverse range of food production processes to ensure quality and safety. This includes:

  • Ready-to-Eat Biscuits: Production of biscuits with and without cream, and date-filled cookies (Maamoul), involving forming, baking, and cooling.
  • Cream-Filled Wafers: Manufacturing of cream-filled wafers, both with and without chocolate coating, through baking, cream filling, chocolate coating, and cooling.
  • Corn-Based Snacks: Production of flavored coated and uncoated popcorn, and extruded corn-based snacks, involving extrusion, drying, flavoring, coating, and cooling.
  • Fried Potato Chips: Processing of fried potato chips through slicing, oil frying, flavoring, and cooling.

About BRCGS Global Standard Food Safety Issue 9

The BRCGS Global Food Safety Standard is adopted by over 22,000 sites in more than 130 countries. The 9th edition has evolved to protect consumers by introducing food safety culture requirements, defining food fraud, and reducing audit burden through additional modules.
It provides a framework to manage product safety, integrity, legality, and quality, along with the operational controls needed for these criteria in the food and food ingredient manufacturing, processing, and packing industry.
