SGS Delivered ISO 50001 Lead Auditor Course for the Jordan Industrial Ports Company (JIPC)

Jordan Industrial Ports Company (JIPC) organized a 5-day training course for their employees in Aqaba focusing on Energy Management Systems.

The course was delivered by SGS Academy.

SGS Delivered ISO 50001 Lead Auditor Course for the JIPC

JIPC is Jordan's premier gateway for international fertilizer commerce, is strategically located at the Gulf of Aqaba and plays a vital role in the Jordan's economy. Since their establishment, the company has been investing in efficiency and productivity, which has been proved by a number of international certificates and awards.

Since 2020, Jordan Industrial Ports Company has been certified by SGS for three international standards:

ISO 9001:2015 (quality management),
ISO 14001:2015 (environmental management) and
ISO 45001:2018 (occupational health and safety).

Lately, the company has decided to enhance their energy management practices, taking the ISO 50001:2018 standard as a reference.

During the Lead Auditor Course delivered by SGS, JIPC’s employees had the opportunity to study ISO 50001 in details, using a lot of practical exercises. The role play allowed participants to master necessary skills to conduct ISO 50001 audits.
