SGS Hosts Expert Panel Discussion on Decarbonization at COP29 in Baku

SGS is proud to announce its participation in the 29th annual Conference of the Parties (COP29), which will take place in Baku, Azerbaijan. As a global leader in sustainability, SGS will be hosting a panel discussion, Decarbonization Agenda for Businesses: Challenges and Practical Solutions, on November 14.

The proliferation of voluntary net-zero initiatives for non-state actors since the Paris Agreement was signed in 2016 has yet to deliver the desired results. This panel discussion, bringing together SGS and industry experts in energy transition and decarbonization, will explore the challenge businesses face in lowering emissions to meet climate targets, discuss decarbonization strategies, and review best practice and practical solutions.

The TIC industry has a pivotal role in supporting companies along their sustainability journey. SGS’s new IMPACT NOW for sustainability concept, focusing on four pillars – climate, circularity, nature and ESG assurance – drives meaningful progress in the fight against climate change and aligns with the global sustainability transition, one of the key megatrends that shape SGS’s Strategy 27.
