Recalls of unsafe electrical and electronic products increased in the USA in Q3, 2021, while dropping in the EU
Unsafe product notifications for Electrical & Electronic Products increased in the USA, by 50%, compared to the previous quarter. However, in the EU notifications dropped 9%.
In the USA, notifications increased by 50%. The main products recalled were batteries and the associated risk was fire.
In the EU, unsafe product notifications went down 9%, with IT and Telecommunications Equipment being the most commonly notified products. USB chargers were the most recalled product and electric shock was the most common risk factor.
