TVOC, Toluene and Formaldehyde Testing for Indoor Building Materials

Dangerous emissions from materials such as paints and adhesives can make a building unsafe for people and the environment. Because of this, the Korean government requires building materials to be tested for TVOC, toluene and formaldehyde emissions before they can be labeled “for indoor use”. We provide testing services to ensure that your indoor building materials comply with government requirements.

Why choose TVOC, toluene and formaldehyde testing for building materials from SGS?

Meeting government standards for TVOC, toluene and formaldehyde emissions will show that, as a manufacturer of building materials, you are concerned about safety and environmental sustainability.

We will ensure that you comply with government regulations by testing indoor building materials to all current legal limits and requirements in a laboratory that is ISO 17025 (KOLAS) certified and certified by the Ministry of the Environment. We use Korean government-approved test methods. Our test reports are issued in the format required by the Korean government and are sent directly to the Ministry of the Environment.

We test adhesive paint, sealant, putty, wallpaper and flooring materials to Ministry of the Environment indoor air quality mark standards. Finishing materials, exclusive of pure lumber materials, are tested to Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport standards, based on the Environmentally Friendly House Management law.
