We are delighted to become the first Certification Body (CB) accredited to the new Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) EUDR Regulatory Module (FSC-STD-01-004).
Only three of 44 CBs have successfully extended their accreditation scopes to include certification for the FSC European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) Regulatory Module. SGS Switzerland (SGSCH) and SGS Hong Kong (SGSHK) are two of the three recognized bodies, according to the Assurance Services International (ASI) website.
Christian Kobel, Global Business Manager for Forestry, Timber and Paper, thanked his team for their rapid action and high effort to attain the accreditation. He commented: “This amazing achievement highlights our ongoing commitment to providing first-class EUDR services that meet the growing demand for compliance with this critical regulation.
“Through our comprehensive EUDR suite of services, we also provide valuable support to producers and traders of non-certified wood and organizations dealing in other relevant commodities, such as palm oil, soy, cocoa, coffee, beef and rubber.
“Although EUDR implementation has been postponed for a year (December 30, 2025, for large operators and traders, and June 30, 2026, for micro- and small enterprises), we still believe that time is limited to comply with this complex regulation. Contact us today for more information on how we can help you stay ahead.”
