SGS has recently opened a testing laboratory in Dubai for Electrical and Electronics products, this is an extension to its multi-disciplinary Centre of Excellence Testing Facility.
This initiative further strengthens SGS’s commitment to enhancing consumer safety and environmental protection, particularly in regions where electronics and low-voltage appliances are extensively traded.
The state-of-the-art laboratory in Dubai is among the Middle East's most technologically advanced safety testing facilities. Accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 by the Gulf Accreditation Center (GAC), it provides a wide range of testing and certification services across various industries now utilizing a wide variety of electrical – electronic and industrial machinery covering the below scopes:
- Electrical safety testing
- Flammability testing
- ROHS testing covering 10 component testing including:
- Heavy Metals lead(pb), Mercury (Hg), Cadmium (Cd), hexavalent Chromium (Cr-VI)
- PBB, PBDE,
- Phthalates-DEHP, BBP, DBP, DIBP
Testing capabilities span an extensive list of consumer products, including:
