2020 SGS PH Leadership Conference

With the theme "A Purposeful Leadership", the SGS Philippines' Human Resources team conducted the 2020 Leadership Conference last March 3, 2020 in the SGS Academy (SGS PH office) attended by the heads of businesses, team leaders and high-potential employees from functional divisions across all SGS entities in the Philippines. This significant event has reminded the SGS leaders on the importance of heeding the right reasons for being such, being a leader.



Sharing great success stories of their careers and self-development, Neli Dablio (Marketing Manager, CBE) and Jinelle Picones (Business Manager, AFL) who are both homegrown SGS leaders, have incited inspiration propelling self-motivation to their colleagues when they reminisced their challenging yet fun years in SGS.



Mr. Ariel Miranda, the SGS Philippines Managing Director, has also imparted a short talk yet overflowing with intelligence and vision. He mentioned that having true happiness within one's self drives creativity, productivity and self-motivation which eventually leads to high quality of work and purposeful leadership.



And putting a mark at "purpose" to be central to SGS' leadership was Ms. Daisy Callanta, President of Jesus HUGS Ministries, who steered our leaders to a better drive in guiding their teams. Ms. Callanta has also emphasized that everyone can be a leader. It only takes one to have a goal and the motivation to influence others towards achieving that goal.



It also marked the launch of the High Potential Leadership Program for the year that will offer various leadership modules to qualified candidates.  Mr. Alfredo Besana, the Country HR Director, explained the details of the program and encouraged everyone's participation in the same. The event has also served as the unveiling of the "Eyes of SGS Leadership" introducing LEAD the Owl (an acronym taken from the words Learning, Engagement And Development) which is the Leadership Program mascot of SGS. You will find LEAD the Owl in all the leadership related announcements.



On top of the meaningful discussions, there were fun activities held on the side including mini games with prizes and live performances by the SGS employees. All attendees have also enjoyed delightful bites and drinks.
