Hardline unsafe product notifications increased by 212% in the EU and 3% in the USA in Q4 2020, compared to the previous quarter.
The EU saw 421 notifications with the top categories being toys, PPE and food contact materials. The main risks were choking, microbiological and chemical.
In the USA, 41 products were notified as unsafe. The top categories for notifications were home furnishings and housewares, sport and leisure, and furniture, with the main risks being fire, fall and injury, respectively.
