This seminar will give you basic idea about concept of phased array, personnel qualification requirements, calibration requirements, code requirements, data interpretation and demonstration requirement with reporting contents.

Why PAUT awareness is important?

In the continuously changing world, there is a need to move towards advance inspection methodology having highest reliability and probability of detection (POD) to inspect product and enhance the safety and confidence. 

It is well known that PAUT is the advance version of ultrasonic testing with high POD and provide us with the records, which can be analyzed and stored to compare at later stage. Due to the recording and high POD capabilities, in most cases PAUT is being used in lieu of Radiography (RT). 

The major issue to implement this technique is lack of awareness and control of the end user. Considering various difficulty that quality staff or end users are facing, SGS is introducing one day complimentary awareness session on PAUT. 

Objective of the event

To provide basic knowledge of concept of PAUT including how and what to verify in PAUT testing, checklist to review procedure, review data quality and report contents.
