Established in 1991 in Amman, MCFP is the leading Jordan-based company dedicated to producing high-quality NPK (nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium) and specialized fertilizers in different forms including water-soluble, clear liquid, suspension and paste for all plants stages from roots to fruits.
Focus on innovation and quality
Eхporting to more than 50 countries, MCFP innovated NPK paste after launching it to the world in 1994. The company is using quality sources supported by technical knowledge and timely delivery to maintain sustainable food resources for future needs.
The MCFP team realizes that in order to gain confidence of the farmers both in Jordan and beyond, the product should be effective and its quality should be consistent. Therefore, from the very beginning, they focused on quality control (QC) and product testing, to ensure that each product complies with approved specifications.
From QC to QMS
As time went on, it became obvious that quality control measures are not sufficient any more to satisfy the more and more exigent customers in a highly competitive market. And the team started to implement a Quality Management System (QMS) complying with the internationally recognized ISO 9001 standard.
In 1997, MCFP became the first fertilizer producer in the region to obtain an ISO 9001 certificate. From that year until now, MCFP has been renewing it regularly.
Cooperation with SGS
In 2020, MCFP took the decision to move to a new certification body, and the choice fell upon SGS.
In April 2020, SGS conducted the first certification audit at the MCFP. Since then, the company’s QMS has been audited by SGS experts on annual basis.
This cooperation proved to be successful, as MCFP could benefit from SGS auditors’ professional skills to further improve the QMS.
When it came to the re-certification decision in 2023, the company chose to stay with SGS as their certification body.
The latest audit by SGS took place in mid-April 2023, proving once again the MCFP’s Quality Management System’s compliance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
