Greener Ports and Greener Shipping – inputs from two decades of environmental marine services at SGS

As part of series of many webinars organized by SGS Pakistan we are inviting you to join a session on “Greener Ports and Greener Shipping – inputs from two decades of environmental marine services at SGS” May 30, 2024. SGS experts will share information on Global Marine Services and how our Global network is supporting stakeholders in ports to maintain responsible practices when it comes to ensuring greener ports and greener shipping. SGS experts will brief you on many aspects of Sustainable green ports and green shipping.

Objective

In the context of sustainable green ports, awareness is essential to promote environmental stewardship, enhance sustainability practices, and drive the transition towards greener and more efficient port operations. Creating awareness is crucial because it helps to educate and inform individuals, communities, and organizations about important issues that require attention and action. By raising awareness, people become conscious of the challenges and potential solutions, leading to positive changes in behaviour, policies, and practices.

By covering these topics, the webinar can provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of some key international regulations and their impacts on the development of sustainable green ports activities and inspire stakeholders to take actions towards creating environmentally responsible and socially beneficial port operations.

By the end of this session, the audience will have a better understanding and awareness of the importance of these practices at ports, the methodologies involved, challenges in business opportunities and the advantages they offer in terms of operational efficiency, environmental sustainability, and regulatory compliance.
