Established in 2015, Cameroon’s pre-shipment conformity assessment program (PECAE) for imported goods strengthens quality surveillance, prevents the importation of dangerous goods, protects local producers from unfair competition and reassures consumers. The program has now been extended to cover all products imported into Cameroon.
As the first company appointed to administer the program by the country’s Agence des Normes et de la Qualité (ANOR) in March 2016, we have been responsible for its implementation for the last eight years, helping our clients to comply with the relevant standards. The latest contract renewal demonstrates the satisfaction and confidence that the Cameroonian national authorities have in our processes and integrity.
Cameroon: Pre-export verification of conformity program webinar
We held a complimentary webinar on ‘Cameroon: Pre-export verification of conformity program’ on January 11, 2024. This was attended by over 300 participants from the EU, Asia, the Middle East and Africa. The session provided practical advice on the program and included a Q&A session. Given the clear interest from exporters, another session will be scheduled for the second quarter of 2024.
