Unsafe product notifications for Hardline products dropped in both the USA and EU in Q3, 2021.
The number of unsafe product notifications for Hardline Products went down – by 12% in the EU and 3% in the USA, compared to Q2, 2021.
263 products were notified as unsafe in the EU. The top categories were Food Contact Materials and Toys with 88 and 72 recalls respectively. The main risk, in both categories was chemical.
In the USA, 48 unsafe product notifications were issued. The top categories were Home Furnishings and Houseware and Juvenile Products and Childcare Articles. The main risks were identified as fire and choking.
