SGS is pleased to announce the appointment of Géraldine Picaud as Chief Executive Officer, effective from the Annual General Meeting of 26 March 2024. She will succeed Frankie Ng who has expressed his desire to step down while ensuring a smooth leadership transition. The decision of the Board of Directors followed a rigorous selection process.
Géraldine Picaud joined SGS on 1 December 2023 to lead Finance, Digital and Strategic Transformation, Mergers & Acquisitions, IT and Procurement, bringing with her a wealth of experience in senior management positions. Prior to this, she was Group Chief Financial Officer and member of the Executive Committee at Holcim, a global leader in building solutions. She also served as Group CFO and member of the Executive Committee at Essilor International, the world leader in eye care. She is currently a non-executive director and chairwoman of the Audit Committee at Danone.
Calvin Grieder, Chair of the Board of Directors, expressed the Board’s confidence in the transition, saying:

During Frankie Ng’s nine-year tenure as Chief Executive Officer, SGS experienced a significant expansion and became the world’s undisputed leader for Testing, Inspection and Certification services. Frankie Ng declared:
