SGS has once again secured an impressive A- Leadership score in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) 2023 assessment. This recognition is reserved for organizations that actively showcase environmental leadership by disclosing actions on climate change, deforestation, and water security, and implement current best practices.
With this score, SGS stands proudly among the top 17% of companies within the specialized professional services sector that have achieved Leadership status. This achievement significantly surpasses the European regional average of B and the specialized professional services sector average of C.
Among the categories assessed by CDP, we have achieved a Leadership score in scope 1 and 2 emissions, governance, risk management processes, targets, business strategy, financial planning and scenario analysis.
Javier López Gómez, Global Head of Corporate Sustainability at SGS, said: “Achieving this Leadership score reaffirms our identity as a fundamentally non-polluting company. We are already successfully addressing our scope 1 and 2 emissions, and now we’ll keep moving forward, working on a material improvement in our scope 3 emissions."
