Announcing our mobile Automatic Marker Injection Device (AMID) – a groundbreaking advancement in fuel marking operations.
Addressing fuel marking challenges
AMID was developed in response to a challenge set by the Serbian Government and Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs), aiming to automate, improve and optimize fuel marking operations. AMID also enhances marker homogeneity in hydrocarbon products. Additionally, it sought to prevent field staff from coming into direct contact with the marker – a key aspect of operator’s security and marker integrity.
This innovative solution also brings efficiency and modernization to the Serbian Fuel Marking Program, improving overall performance and outcomes.
AMID’s technical excellence and safety standards
We designed, built and deployed AMID as an advanced marker dosing device. Fully ATEX certified, AMID meets the stringent safety standards set by the government and is engineered for maximum durability. The device is mobile and features protection against dust, water, vibrations, tilting and shock. Its integrated marker tank cannot be opened and therefore ensures marker integrity.
The automatic injection guarantees precision, promotes better mixing of the marker with the hydrocarbon products, and the overall efficiency of fuel marking operations. Importantly, AMID can be adapted universally to dosing the marker in any fuel terminal or transportation vehicle.
Successful implementation and industry-wide praise
After a successful pilot program, AMID V1 was approved by the Serbian Government, with seven units now operational across ten fuel terminals in Serbia. Since its deployment, over 6,000 marker injection operations have been conducted, marking more than a billion liters of fuel. The device has received positive feedback from OMCs, with zero complaints or disputes, further underscoring its reliability and efficiency.
A look ahead: AMID V2
Following the success of AMID V1, we are now developing AMID V2, a next-generation device designed for easy and rapid deployment across various storage facilities, without the need for additional modifications. AMID V2 will feature advanced technologies such as blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI) and sensors, enabling end-to-end granular traceability.
