Metabolism and E-Fate Studies

SGS’s environmental fate studies help you test and record the behavior of your pesticides and other agrochemicals under controlled field and lab conditions.

Our environmental studies therefore provide the independent data you need to fine-tune your product(s) – as required – and ease the registration process.

We can manage an environmental fate study from design to execution, acting as either the study director or principal investigator. We perform every study under Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) according to guidelines issued by the European Union (EU) in 1999, the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) in 1995 and/or the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). In addition, when regulations in the United States of America and Europe are under review, we can run a tailored study approach according to your requirements.

Our global network means we can conduct field-based studies in a variety of geographies and climatic conditions. We provide studies on:

  • Field leaching, run-off and drainage
  • Ground/surface water monitoring
  • Soil dissipation/accumulation

Get in touch with SGS now to discover how our environmental fate studies can help you fulfill the registration process.
