A 4-day course that offers content and instruction to prepare for the International Council for Machinery Lubrication, MLA I and the MLT I exam.
MLA I & MLT I
This combination certification examination preparation is for the Machine Lubricant Analyst Level I (MLA I) compliant with ISO 18436-4 and the Machinery Lubrication Technician Level I (MLT I). The MLA I develops competency for daily activities associated with lubrication tasks and basic lubricant analysis for machine condition monitoring, contamination control and problem detection. The MLT I is for those responsible for daily lubrication tasks, including oil changes, top-ups, greasing bearings, lubricant receiving and proper storage and care of lubricants and dispensing devices.
Training Methodology
This course is a cooperative argumentative dialogue between individuals and the instructor, asking and answering questions from the instructor as well as other students that stimulate critical thinking, and draw out underlying presumptions in the world of lubrication, oil analysis, and overall reliability. Participants prepare for the final exam by closely reading and discussing the text as well as assignments that they will accomplish in and out of the course.
