Uzbekistan GTL and SGS have signed a memorandum to cooperate in the inspection of oil products and industrial sites, and laboratory testing of finished products.
On June 2, 2022, as part of Baku Energy Week, Uzbekistan GTL and SGS signed a memorandum of understanding implying the establishment of cooperation in the field of services for the inspection of oil products and industrial sites at the gas-to-liquids (GTL) plant in Uzbekistan, laboratory testing of finished GTL products according to international standards, and the exchange of experience. SGS will be conducting international certification of Uzbekistan GTL products.
Shakhzod Alirizaev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC Uzbekneftegaz, the national holding company that developed Uzbekistan GTL, and Dilshod Djuraev, Executive Director of IP LLC SGS Tashkent, participated in the signing, which took place at the 27th international “Oil and Gas of the Caspian Sea” exhibition.
“It is a great honor for us to start a cooperation with the unique and innovative Uzbekistan GTL plant. We are confident in the long-term and fruitful cooperation between our companies in the field of quality control of GTL fuel, which is a premium fuel,” said Dilshod Djuraev.
Baku Energy Week is one of the most prestigious events for the Caspian region’s energy sector. It takes place in the city of Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. This year, it was hosted by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. JSC Uzbekneftegaz participated in Baku Energy Week at the invitation of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
