5/27/2022 7:00:00 AM

SGS has been rated as PRIME by ISS ESG Corporate rating for the fourth consecutive year for excellence in management of environmental, societal and governance (ESG) aspects.

ISS ESG Logo

ISS ESG’s scientific based rating concept places a clear focus on the materiality of non-financial information, analyzing companies’ management of ESG issues based on up to 100 rating criteria. These indicators are constantly developed and reviewed to align with latest scientific findings, regulatory changes, technological developments, and the public debate, in order to help investors minimize ESG risks, comply with evolving regulatory and stakeholder requirements and seize opportunities.

This ESG Corporate Ratings methodology is considered as one of the highest quality and standard setting approaches of the industry. SGS has been awarded an ESG performance above the sector-specific Prime threshold, meaning that we fulfil ambitious absolute performance requirements. ISS has particularly recognized our environmental management, eco-efficiency, corporate governance, and business ethics.

Toby Reeks, SVP Corporate Communications, Sustainability and Investor Relations, said: “This recognition once again confirms that ESG is deeply ingrained in our corporate culture, and we are an internationally recognized leader in Sustainability. It is the result of the efforts of all our employees who work every day to make SGS a better and more sustainable company. We will continue to reinforce this culture of sustainability inside and outside of SGS, to achieve the goals we have set for ourselves in the Sustainability Ambitions 2030.”
