US CPSC Publishes Final Rule for Phthalates under CPSIA

US Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) has published direct final rule 16 CFR 1226 to incorporate the latest version of the ASTM standard for soft infant and toddler carriers

The California State Governor has signed a bill into law that requires storage batteries for electric bicycles and powered mobility devices must be tested by an accredited testing laboratory for compliance with a specified standard.

Singapore has specified exemptions from the ban on Dechlorane Plus and UV-328. The effective date remains February 26, 2025, for uses and applications that are not on the exemption list.

The Australian state of New South Wales (NSW) issued mandatory regulations for e-mobility devices and their batteries in August 2024. Enforcement of the new standards will begin in February 2025.
