SG 45/23
The EU has made one change to its list of the standards for presumption of conformity with the Toy Safety Directive. The latest list of toy safety standards became effective on April 5, 2023.
On April 5, 2023, the European Union (EU) issued Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/740 with the latest list of toy safety standards demonstrating presumption of conformity with Directive 2009/48/EC (Toy Safety Directive – consolidated version to December 2022). This latest set of standards revises EN 71-13:2021 to EN 71-13:2021+A1:2022 for olfactory board games, cosmetic kits and gustative games to reflect Directives (EU) 2020/2088 and (EU) 2020/2089 on allergenic fragrances (SafeGuardS 72/22 and references therein)
Highlights of the latest list of toy safety standards for presumption of conformity with the TSD and a comparison with its preceding list under Decision (EU) 2021/1992 are shown in Table 1.
