India has mandated the use of several national standards and the standard mark for cookware, utensils and food and beverage cans. These will become effective on September 1, 2024.
In March 2024, India’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued an order to regulate cookware, utensils and cans for foods and beverages to specific national standards. It also mandates the use of the standard mark.
