ECHA Consults Over Six Substances as SVHC

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has launched a consultation over the listing of six chemicals as substances of very high concern (SVHC). Comments are being accepted until October 14, 2024.

In August 2024, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) launched a 45-day consultation period over the listing of six substances as SVHC. If approved, the number of SVHC on the Candidate list will increase from 241 entries to 247 entries.

Highlights of the six substances are summarized in Table 1
