Environmental Compliance – Ships' Engine Emissions (NTC and MARPOL Annex VI)

  • Decarbonization monitoring – sampling and analysis for greenhouse gases, particulate matter according to MARPOL Annex VI
  • EU MRV (Regulation 2015/757) testing – monitoring, reporting and verification of CO2 emissions
  • NOx testing – sampling and analysis according to the IMO NOx Technical Code 2008, MEPC.291(71) and MEPC.112(50) for annual NOx spot checks for selective catalytic reduction systems, and US NOx Tier III requirements
  • Sensor accuracy checks – in compliance with MARPOL Annex VI and associated guidelines as well as EU Directive 2014/90/EU on marine equipment
  • Smoke opacity testing – sampling and analysis according to the CARB 2022 Amendments to the Commercial Harbor Craft Regulation (specific to ships operating solely in California)
  • Visual opacity testing – sampling and analysis according to the CARB 2020 Ocean-Going Vessels At-Berth Regulation
