In 2017, SGS conducted market research on the use of digital industrial radiography, inviting end-users in more than a dozen countries to take part in a survey. This document looks at the subject, its definition, current state of the technology, capabilities, and more importantly, its drawbacks. The key findings of the survey were also reviewed and the paper aims to provide insight to the reasons for the slow transition from film to digital industrial radiography.
