The purpose of this white paper is to focus on the integration of remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS) into civil and commercial space and the challenges that arise when enabling RPAS. As the commercial industries of the world move forward in using remotely RPAS, also known as drones, consideration must be given to updating ageing risk management systems currently considered to be adequate and familiar. In fact, the 'drone age' will drive a critical and multi-dimensional change in the approach to risk management.
